Travel Writer and Photographer
I am a full-time bilingual (English/French) travel writer and photographer contributing to a range of publications in the UK and worldwide. I have been topic editor for South Asia/China on suite 101 and edited Eastern Airways French in-flight magazine. I enjoy public speaking and leading workshops.
I love writing articles – hovering here and there like a butterfly- but I have also contributed to National Geographic books (Journeys of a Lifetime, Secret Places, Food Journeys, Secret Journeys, etc.), Quintessence 1001 Escapes and ‘The Best of the Best Places in the World’ for Reader’s Digest.
I enjoy a challenge so if I’m asked to write a book, I’m be happy to oblige. Three to my name so far: ‘Paris, Memories of Time Past’, ‘Be a Travel Writer, Live your Dreams, Sell your Features’ and ‘Berlitz Pocket Guide to Bhutan’. All available on Amazon and in major bookstores.
SPECIALIST TOPICS
As you would expect from a native, France is a speciality but I travel far and wide and my passion for Asia, especially the Himalayas, is ongoing. I have visited Bhutan 4 times and was privileged to attend the Coronation and more recently the 4th king’s 60th birthday. I have trekked in Nepal (16 times to date), travelled on the world’s highest railway from Xian to Tibet and as well as places, I write about people, be it lepers in Vietnam or street children in Kathmandu.
I don’t mind roughing it now and then but I can cope with 5 star luxury. I review hotels and spas, write about exotic holidays and city breaks, food, culture, soft adventure -gentle trekking or cruising (rivers/canals)- and the natural world.

In the past 20 years, my travel articles have appeared worldwide in over 100 different titles from travel and consumer magazines to newspapers, niche markets and in-flight publications. Recent markets include travel magazines such as Wanderlust, Silver Traveller, France Today, French Property News, My Weekly and a monthly travel piece syndicated to local publications across the UK. I also contribute to national women’s magazines such as My Weekly Special and People’s Friend Special (not specifically travel) and I always keep a look-out for new markets.
